I have never been an addict for shoes, I generally buy the cheapest pair that are comfortable and fit well. I'm also a mens shoes size 13, so I don't have the fullest choice other smaller-footed people have! However, the last pair I bought were Vans skate shoes and I absolutely love them. They were a bit more expensive than I would normally pay but I thought that maybe it would be worth paying a bit more for good quality in the hope that they would be more comfortable and would last longer than the usual type that I buy. They are very good quality, they are canvas style shoes with a sturdy rubber sole. The canvas is thick and it is joined to the sole with glue and stitching. I think they will last a very long time, I have had them for six months already and they are not showing any signs of wear at all, which is an improvement on the cheaper pairs I have previously bought. They are also very comfortable and make my feet much less fatigued when I wear them for extended periods of time. It seems that sometimes you get what you pay for! |
